Brief History of My Music Life
I was born in 1988 at Sukabumi, Indonesia. I have been plunge in music world since in junior high school. At the time, in Jakarta, I was invited for first time to join a school band, are then given the name Crott's Band, and began playing as keyboardist. While I'm existing in a band in the school, I also often entertains guests of wedding/circumcision invitations in the One Man Band (OMB) event.
After junior high school has finished, I moved to Sukabumi and then form a different band with my new friend in senior high school, and then I called it Progressive Athena's Band. As the name suggested, I pursued Progressive-Rock musics in the band. Meanwhile OMB continue running, a lot of trophy was obtained from the new band. The awards which have been obtained is:
- 2nd Champion of the Festival Band SMAN 4 Sukabumi, in 2004,
- The best keyboardist of the Festival Band SMAN 4 Sukabumi, in 2004,
- 1st Champion of the Festival Band Super Mall Sukabumi, in 2004,
- Favorite and 1st Champion of the Festival Band Super Mall Sukabumi, in 2005,
- 1st Champion of the Festival Band SMAN 4 Sukabumi, in 2005,
- Favorite and 1st Champion of the Festival Band SDS Studio at the level Sukabumi, Bogor, and Bandung, in 2005,
- 1st Champion of the Festival Band Pemuda Pancasila Sukabumi, in 2005,
- 1st Champion of Walikota Sukabumi's Festival Band, in 2006,
- 1st Champion of the Festival Band SMAN 4 Sukabumi, in 2006,
- 1st Champion of the Festival Band Sukabumi, in 2006,
- Pass Selection Participants of LA Light Indiefest Concert at the level Sukabumi, in 2006,
- and a number of other trophies.
Unfortunately, now the band wasn't exist anymore. After senior high school has finished, distance of each personnel becomes so far. Very difficult to assemble again. Nevertheless, I keep exist in OMB until now.
Besides of musics, I'm also working in Physics. I'm studying as an undergraduate student in Department of Physics University of Indonesia. I'm working on protein folding problems based on particle physics's theory.
I want to be a Theorist in Physics World
I want to be a real Physicist. I mean, I want to be Physicist who can do real problems of physics. For that, I must continue my study to graduate & doctoral programs, because I just enter gate of physicist if I had finished the doctoral program.
There are a lot of branches of physics in the world, that is condense matter physics, material physics, geophysics, astrophysics, biophysics, particle physics, nuclear physics, etc. Beside of that, The people has done physics with two methods, that is theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical physicist does physics theoretically, while the experimental physicist does physics experimentally. Both experimental and theoretical had important roles. They have mutual influence that can't be vanished. For example, a theoretical physicist can't prove correctness of theory that he/she has built without experimental, and also the experimental physicist can't set up an experiment without based on theory. If a theory didn't check with experiment, this theory is hard to accepted by physics society. And so that for experimental physicist, too difficult to set up an experiment without based on theory, because he/she must try and error to set up the experiment. It will be needed very much cost to be sacrifices. So both of methods is very important.
The branches of physics which I prefer to choose is particle physics, because I have learnt it since I studied in undergraduate level in Department of Physics University of Indonesia. Besides of that, I want to be a theoretical physicist, because preparation to do physics theoretically is easier than experimentally. It just need some paper and literature to build a theory. Therefore, very simple to prepare it. Meanwhile, beside of literature, experimental physicist need more cost to set up experimental devices. For that, before do an experiment, they should seek some sponsors to fund the experimental devices. It is too expensive to fund by self. So work on theory is simpler than experiment. Therefore, I prefer theoretical physics to my career in the future time. In simplified, I will work at the particle physics theoretically.
